Mango Kheer

Do you love desserts ? Do you love Mangoes ? If your answers are yes then this recipe will definitely interest you. Mango Kheer will give you a rich taste of kheer with a flavor of Mango & it is perfect for anytime dessert. It is an Indian origin dessert, simple to make & delicious in taste.

Mango Kheer

Ingredients :-

  • 1 ltr Milk
  • 3/4 cup Vermicelli
  • 1 cup Mango Pulp
  • 3-4 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ghee ( Clarified Butter )
  • 3 tsp Condensed Milk (Optional)
  • 1 pinch Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder
  • Chopped Mangoes, Almonds & Pistachios for Garnishing

Method  :-

Step 1.  Heat Ghee in a pan & roast the vermicelli for around 3-4 minutes till it turns golden brown.
              Note :- If you already have roasted vermicelli no need for this step.
Step 2.  Add milk to Vermicelli & keep stirring it regularly till Milk gets boiled.


Step 3.  Add Sugar & Condensed Milk in the pan & cook for 3-4 minutes more.
Step 4. Now turn off the flame & let it cool for a while.
Step 5. Once it gets cool( room temperature ) add Mango Pulp & Cardamom powder; mix it well.
Step 6.  Refrigerate it. Your Mango Kheer is ready.
Step 7. For Garnishing use Chopped Mangoes, Almonds & Pistachios. Serve chilled.

Note :- I am using Condensed Milk to thicken up the consistency of milk because here I am not able to find rich creamy milk. But if you don't want to use condensed milk you can use rich thick milk.
