Ethnic Thread Kada

Hello my beautiful gals :)

After festive season it's time for Wedding Season in India. And wedding season is all about traditional wearing. As India is having so many different cultures & each one is having its own style. Rajasthani style is one of my favorite look & Now-a-days Thread Kadas are so much in fashion. Every where I am seeing Silk Thread Kada in the market, so I though I can make it by my own, as we can totally customize it according to our choice. And the best part is you can reuse your old bangles, as you all know I love reuse & recycle. It's very easy to make & elegant looking. So lets jump into the post ;)

Ethnic Thread Kada

All you Need  :-

  • Red Woollen Thread
  • Old Bangle or Kada
  • Glue
  • Golden Wire thread
  • Pom Pom of different colors
  • Golden Ghungroo beads
  • Big Crystal

Making Process  :-

Step 1.  Take a bangle & wrap a woolen thread around it. At the starting end tie a knot.

Step 2.  Apply a glue at the inner side of bangle & keep wrapping the thread till the whole bangle is covered.

Step 3.  Once the whole bangle is completely wrapped then again tie a knot.

Step 4.  Let it dry for 10-15 mins, so that glue can stick to thread & bangle.

Step 5.  Now take a new thread & start inserting Pom-Pom & Crystal as shown in the photo. Keep inserting till we get the size according to your bangle.

Step 6.  Once you get the desired size, tie a knot at the other end.

Step 7.  Now with the help of golden wire, wind them together (the bangle & the pom-pom chain), as shown in photo.
You can also use glue to seal the end of the wire so that it will not hurt your skin.

Your beautiful Ethnic Thread Kada is ready. You can wear it with Anarkali, Saree & Lehenga too.
I hope you like this post. Do share your recreations with me.

Note :-  I made this Kada according to the availability of products. As I didn't find the Silk thread that's why used the Woolen thread, you can also use the ribbons. Also you can use beads according to your choice.

Stay Special .. Be Blessed
