We have shared many homemade Rakhi Making Ideas before but today's one is a little special. The bracelet Rakhi we are making today is for all the sisters who have married brother. It can be worn as both Rakhi or a special Bracelet so that your brother can wear it on even other days.
You can totally customize this based upon your preference. Let's see how to make it.
Bhaiya and Bhabhi Bracelet Rakhi | DIY Couple Rakhi
You Will Need -
For Bhaiya Rakhi -
- White Alphabet Beads (small-sized)
- White Pearl (small-sized)
- Black Beads (small-sized)
- 1 mm Clear Elastic Cord
- Scissors
For Bhabhi Rakhi -
- Pink Alphabet Beads (small-sized)
- Cream Pearl (small-sized)
- Black Beads (small-sized)
- 1 mm Clear Elastic Cord
- Scissors
Step By Step Making Process -
Step 1. Either Measure Elastic Cord by wrapping around your Wrist. OR! Take an 18-20cm Elastic Cord to make a standard size Rakhi Bracelet.
Step 2. Cut it 2-3 inches extra than the measured size. We want extra Cord for working with it. Eg, If you are making 20cm long, then take 26-30cm Elastic Cord.
For Making BHAIYA Rakhi!
Step 3. Secure one end of the Cord (so that beads don't slip) and start working on another end. You can use the old Notebook and secure one end of the Cord with Clear Tape.Step 4. Start adding Beads one by one on the cord, first add 2 White Pearls, then 1 Black Bead, then again 2 White Pearls, then 1 Black Bead, then again 2 White Pearls, then 1 Black Bead, then again 2 White Pearls, then 1 Black Bead.
Step 5. Once you arrive at the Center, add Alphabet Beads one by one name 'BHAIYA'.
Step 6. Again start adding Pearls and Beads. Add 1 Black Bead, then again 2 White Pearls, then 1 Black Bead, then again 2 White Pearls, then 1 Black Bead, then again 2 White Pearls, then 1 Black Bead, then again 2 White Pearls, then 1 Black Bead.
Step 7. Using both the ends of the cord, make 3-4 knots to properly tie the bracelet.
Step 8. Step 8. Cut any extra cord if remaining.
Your Bhaiya Bracelet Rakhi is ready!
For Making BHABHI Rakhi!
We are repeating exactly the same process which we did above for Bhaiya Rakhi!!Step 3. Secure one end of the Cord (so that beads don't slip) and start working on another end. You can use the old Notebook and secure one end of the Cord with Clear Tape.

Step 5. Once you arrive at the Center, add Alphabet Beads one by one name 'BHABHI'.
Step 6. Again start adding Pearls and Beads. Add 1 Black Bead, then again 2 Cream Pearls, then 1 Black Bead, then again 2 Cream Pearls, then 1 Black Bead, then again 2 Cream Pearls, then 1 Black Bead, then again 2 Cream Pearls, then 1 Black Bead.
Step 7. Using both the ends of the cord, make 3-4 knots to properly tie the bracelet.
Step 8. Step 8. Cut any extra cord if remaining.
Your Bhabhi Bracelet Rakhi is ready!
KW Tips -
1. You can even use little Glue to secure the knot permanently.
2. Add and Subtract the Beads according to the size you want the Bracelet Rakhi to be.
3. Choose your Alphabets, Beads, Pearls according to your taste. You can totally customize it, just follow the same process.
4. Instead of writing Bhaiya-Bhabhi, you can use Alphabets of their name to make it more personal. Especially if your Brother is younger than you.
