Are you totally done with your smelly shoes? Whether you are wearing Boots, Sports Shoes, Sandals or Pumps but when remove those; your feet and room, both get filled with bad smell? Well, it's time to do something about it!
In today's post, we are sharing how to make your own DIY Footwear Powder or you can say DIY Shoe Powder with a few simple ingredients from your kitchen. This powder will help to remove the bad smell and give your Footwear a fresh fragrance. It works for all the Footwear types, Let's begin!


Homemade Footwear Power to remove Bad Odor!

All you Need -

  • 4 tablespoon Corn Starch
  • 2 tablespoon Baking Soda
  • 2 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 5 drops of Lavender Essential
  • 1 Zipper Plastic Bag

Method -

Step 1. Add all the ingredients in the Zipper Plastic Bag except Oil.
Step 2. Mix it well then add Oil drops.
Step 3. Shake all the ingredients once again. Your homemade Footwear Powder is ready!

How to Use it -

Step 1. Take a pinch of Powder, sprinkle everywhere inside the shoe.
Step 2. Tab the shoe on the heel and then on the toe. This is how the mixture will evenly distribute to all oven the footwear.
Step 3. Leave it for 15 mins. Now, remove the extra mixture from the Shoe.
That's it! You can wear your Shoes now. Repeat this process whenever your Shoes need it.


1. I am using Lavender Essential Oil, but you can use any Essential Oil of your choice. Like; Lemon, Wild Orange, Peppermint, Rosemary, etc. Any Oil which offers great scents (which you love) and have odor-fighting properties.
2. Make sure you use Zipper Plastic Bag with a good seal.
