Eggless Corn Fritters | Fusion Recipe

Hello, my beautiful people!! 😍
In today's post, I am sharing one of the popular Breakfast Recipe from Southern America called Corn Fritters. Usually, they are made up of Corns, Flour, Milk, and Eggs; but today we are making Eggless Corn Fritters. There are so many versions of Corn Fritters but today we are going with the traditional one. Some people even like to eat it with a Jam but I highly recommend to eat with Yoghurt Dip instead. Although they say that its great breakfast option but you can totally have these as evening snacks too. Let's see how to make it!!

Corn Fritters

Ingredients :-

  • 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 1 cup Boiled Sweet Corn
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 7-8 chopped Spring Onions
  • 2 chopped Green Chillies
  • 2-3 tbsp chopped Fresh Coriander
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Method :-

Step 1. In a Bowl; add All Purpose Flour and Baking Powder. While adding mix well to avoid any lumps in the mixture.
Step 2. Add Corn, Spring Onions, Green Chillies, Fresh Coriander, Black Pepper and Salt in the mixture. Give it a mix!
Step 3. Now slowly add Milk & Water to the mixture and keep stirring.
Step 4. We want neither thick nor very watery consistency. Semi-liquid consistency is great!
Step 5. In a separate Hot Pan/Tawa; spread Olive Oil with Oil spreading Brush.
Step 6. With the help of a spoon, add 1-2 tbsp mixture into the Tawa. Flatten it with the back of the spoon. We want thick cutlet shape Fritters.
Step 7. On a medium gas, cook on one side then flip the Fritters and cook the other side. We want golden color.
Your delicious Corn Fritters are ready! Serve hot with Yoghurt Dip!!

Note :- If you want you can deep fry also but I like to shallow fry these.

I know Indian Food is all about Spices and I also swear by my spices but sometimes it is good to taste something new. This dish is pretty good to try. I hope you and your family gonna like this. Please don't forget to share your feedback with us.
