Curd Rice Recipe

Curd Rice or Yogurt Rice is a well known South Indian recipe. With easy ingredients and delicious flavor this recipe will fill your tummy & also helps in digestion. As Yogurt is known for its probiotic qualities and curing Stomach Aches this recipe is also good for people who are having indigestion problem. Lets begin preparing this recipe today.


Curd Rice Recipe

Ingredients :-

  • 1 cup cooked Rice
  • 1 cup Curd / Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 dry Red Chilies
  • 5-6 Curry Leaves
  • 1 tsp Black-Pepper
  • Salt to taste

Method :-

Step 1. In a bowl mix cooked Rice and Curd, mix well and keep it aside.
Step 2. Heat the Pan; add oil once it is hot then add the Mustard Seeds, Curry Leaves and dry Red Chilies. Cook till the chilies are almost black, about 45 seconds to a minute.
Step 3. Now add Rice-Curd mixture, mix it well & cook for 2-3 minutes until it gets completely warm and hot.
Step 4. Add Salt and Black-Pepper, cook for 3-4 minutes more and keep stirring.
Your tasty Curd Rice is ready. Served hot, if you want you can have it with Pickle or chutney. You can even have it as a cold dish.
