Aloo Ka Halwa

Hi, my lovely friends :)
Many people do Fasts regularly either on any special occasion or festival or just once a week. Some of them do Fasting by eating one time. Previously I shared Vrat Aloo recipe. Today I am sharing another fasting recipe with potato which is quite easy to prepare too. The main benefits of this recipe is it is very fulfilling, its sweet so can be served as Prasad / Bhog for God & at the same time, it is Fariyali.
           So let's begin this recipe.

Ingredients:-

  • 3 Mashed Potatoes
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3 tablespoon Clarified butter ( Ghee )
  • 3-4 Chopped Almonds
  • 2-3 Raisins
  • 2-3 Chopped Cashew Nuts
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Powder

Method:-

Step 1.  Use 2 tsp ghee & heat it in a pan till it melts.
Step 2.   Add mashed potatoes in the pan. Make sure the potatoes are finely mashed as this is the most important ingredient of our dish.
Step 3.  Fry the potatoes on low or medium flame till the aroma comes.
Step 4.  Add sugar & keep stirring continuously. When you add sugar it will look little wet but keep stirring & it will mix properly.
Step 5.  Add remaining 1 tsp ghee & cook it for 5-6 minutes. Keep stirring.
Step 6.  Once the ghee starts coming out on the pan add all the dry fruits. You can take the halwa out of the pan.

Your Aloo ka Halwa is ready. Serve hot & garnish with dry fruits.
