Hi my beautiful friends :)
As Ganesh Chaturthi has started & we all want to impress Ganesh the GOD, I thought of
sharing with you all a way to do this. Modak ( Sweet ) is one of the favorites of Ganesh & today
I have made not one but three types of Modak. It is easy, quick & delicious.
So lets get started.
Ingredients :-
1 cup Dry Coconut Powder
1/4 cup Powder Sugar
1/3 cup Fresh Cream
1 tsp of Condensed Milk
Dry Fruits
Method :-
Step 1. Take a bowl. Mix all the Ingredients & mix it well.
Step 2. Make small balls of this mixture with the help your hands & give the shape of Modak.
Step 3. Refrigerate them for half an hour & serve cold.
Your Coconut Modak is ready.
Ingredients :-
1 ltr Full fat Milk
1 tsp Ghee
1/4 cup Powder Sugar
1/2 tsp Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder
Pinch of Saffron (Kesar)
2 tsp of Condensed Milk (or 4 tsp Milk Powder)
Dry fruits
Method :-
Step 1. Take a Nonstick Pan. Heat the milk in a pan on medium heat. Stir it continuously.
Step 2. After half an hour, add Saffron & Condensed Milk. Make sure you are stirring it properly otherwise it will stick & burn.
Step 3. Stir & cook it for 45-50 mins till it becomes thick & dark in color.
Step 4. Now add Ghee, Elaichi Powder & Sugar. Cook for 5 more mins.
Step 5. Cool down the mixture & add dry fruits.
Step 6. Make small balls & give the shape of Modak.
Your Milk Modak is ready.
Ingredients :-
For the Dough
1 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour / Maida
3 tsp Hot Ghee
Milk to make Dough
Oil to fry
For Filling
I am using the Milk Modak balls
(Note :- Same process of Milk Modak)
Method :-
Step 1. Take Maida & Ghee in a deep bowl & mix it well.
Step 2. Slowly add Milk & start to knead the dough with the help of your hands.
Step 3. Cover and leave it to rest for 25 mins.
Step 4. Take a Pan & start heating the Oil.
Step 5. Roll out one portion of the dough & make balls.
Step 6. Flatten each ball in your palm. Dust it with flour and roll out into a small diameter disk.
Step 7. Filled the disk with your Milk ball stuffing & give a shape of Modak.
Step 8. Deep fry your Modak.
Your Fried Modak is ready.
