Veg Hakka Noodles | Recipe

India is a beautiful country and so is its food. Although Noodles is a Chinese recipe, Indian Street has its own way to prepare it. Today we are sharing how to prepare Indian Street Style Veg Hakka Noodles at home. It is very easy to prepare and the best thing is it can be prepared in a very short time.
With the delicious flavors of Garlic, Onion, Capsicums you will surely like this recipe. You can eat it during lunch or dinner or even during the evening time when you feel hungry.

Veg Hakka Noodles 

Ingredients -

  • Hing (Asafoetida)
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Small Sliced Onion 
  • 1 Cup Shredded Cabbage
  • 2 Cups Hakka Noodles
  • 2 tbsp Spring Onions finely chopped
  • 1 Small Red & Green Capsicums Sliced Thinly
  • 1 small cup Carrot Juliennes 
  • 1 small green chili chopped
  • 2 tsp Cooking Oil
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Sauce
  • 1 tsp Green Chili Sauce
  • Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt To Taste
  • Water 

Method -


How To Perfectly Boil Noodles -
Step 1. Take a pan and heat water in it.
Step 2. Once the water starts boiling, add Hakka noodles and let it cook up to 90%. This is usually 3-4 minutes depending upon the noodles.
Step 3. Put noodles under cold running water as it helps to remove stickiness from the noodles. Strain out all the water. Mix little oil to the noodles and put it aside.

How To Make Hakka Noodles -
Step 1.  Add oil in a pan. Add Hing once the oil is heated.
Step 2.  Now add Onions, Capsicum, Cabbage, Carrots, Green Chili, Spring Onions, and Ginger Garlic Paste.
Step 3. Toss the mixture and put the flame high for a 1 minute. We need to cook the veggies but not overcook it.
Step 4. Now add soy sauce, vinegar, red chili sauce, green chili sauce, cayenne pepper, and noodles. Add salt to taste. Mix well and heat it for 2-3 minutes until everything is mixed well.
Your delicious Veg Hakka Noodles is ready. Before serving, garnish it with some sprinkled spring onion.
