Dahi Sev Batata Puri Recipe

From the streets of India today we are bringing a very delicious and mouth watering recipe called Dahi Sev Batata Puri. This is very easy to prepare and will definitely satisfy your taste buds. With ingredients like Curd, Potato & Coriander Chutney spread on Puris make this recipe a must have for this festive season. Lets see how to make this!!



Dahi Sev Batata Puri Recipe

Ingredients :-

  • 1 packet Puffed Puris
  • 1 cup Chilled Churned Curd
  • 1 cup Grated Potatoes
  • 4 tbsp Sprouted Moong
  • Fine Sev
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seed Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black Salt
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • Coriander Mint Chutney
  • Date and Tamarind Chutney
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves

Note :- There is no exact ratio for ingredients. It depends on your taste and quantity. I am making around 13-15 puris with this ratio. Please modify the quantity according to your preference.


Method :-

Step 1. In a Bowl; make filling by adding Grated Potatoes, Sprouted Moong, Red Chilli Powder, Cumin Seed Powder and Black Salt.
Step 2. Mix everything properly.
Step 3. In other bowl; add Curd and Sugar. Give a good mix.
Step 4. Now take a Plate; its Time to put everything together.
Step 5. Take Puffed Puri and make small hole in it by tapping lightly, be gentle otherwise Puri will break completely.
Step 6. Repeat the same with all the Puris and place them in your plate.
Step 7. In each Puri add a spoon of the potato mixture filling.
Step 8. On top of that add Curd, little Coriander Mint Chutney & little Date and Tamarind Chutney.
Step 9. Sprinkle a pinch of Salt, Red Chilli Powder and Cumin Seed Powder. Remember go very easy with salt and spices as we already added everything in our filling.
Step 10. Garnish with freshly chopped Coriander and lots of Sev.
Your mouth watering Dahi Sev Batata Puris are ready. Serve immediately otherwise Puris will get soggy.

Note :- Don't use freshly boiled Potatoes, as hot Potatoes will ruin Puris. Make sure either they are cold or cooled at the room temperature.

If you want you can do Filling and Curd preparation in advance and whenever you want to eat that time combine everything together with Puris. Remember you can make this in your version example if you like Boondi then you can add that too but it should be stocked before.
