Methi Masala Mathri Recipe | Festival Special

Hello my beautiful people!! 😍
3 years back during Diwali I shared one recipe called Kaju Mathri which everyone loved alot. In today's post I am sharing another festive Mathri Recipe with a little twist of Methi. We are going to make Methi Masala Mathri, this recipe is just like regular Mathri but tastes a little different. I hope you and your family with love this Recipe!! Let's see how to make it!!!

Methi Masala Mathri | Recipe

Ingredients :-

  • 2 cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 4 tbsp Ghee (melted but not hot) for Moyan
  • 1 tbsp Kasturi Methi
  • 1 tbsp Jeera
  • Pinch of Ajwain (Optional :- I added just to give a hint of taste)
  • Half tsp Black Pepper
  • Salt to taste (I took 1 tsp)
  • Water as required for Dough making
  • Oil for Frying

Method :-

Step 1. In a Bowl take flour and Ghee, make lumpy mix.
Step 2. Add Kasturi Methi, Jeera, Ajwain, Black Pepper and Salt.
Step 3. Start adding water slowly and make a soft dough.
Step 4. Leave it for 10 mins but make sure that you cover it properly. We don't want any air.
Step 5. Divide the dough in 3 portion. Make round Balls!!
Step 6. Take one ball and roll out into four to five inches diameter disk of medium thickness.
Step 7. With the help of Knife slice these in long rectangular shape.
Step 8. In deep pan heat the Oil for frying.
Step 9. Once the Oil is Hot enough it is ready to fry. (Don't use over Hot Oil, otherwise they won't fry properly)
Step 10. Start frying these on medium heat, fry it till you get golden color.
Step 11. Remove these and let it cool down in the Room temparature.
Step 12. Store these in the Air-tight Container.
Your delicious Methi Masala Mathri are ready!! Enjoy this with your loved ones in this Diwali.

Note :- Remember don't use high flame while frying otherwise the Pare will get golden without cooking from inside. Keep frying these in medium heat for longer period.
