Instant Mango Kalakand Recipe At Home with step by step instructions -

Kalakand is one of the tempting Indian Rajasthani desserts, the only problem is that the process of making is pretty long & many people don't try it. In today's post, we are going to make Instant Mango Kalakand; here the process of making Kalakand is very short and we are adding Mango to give it a little twist. Mango Kalakand Recipe

Ingredients -

  • 1 cup Mango Pulp
  • 1.5 cup grated Paneer
  • Half cup Condensed Milk
  • Pinch of Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder
  • Pinch of Saffron (Kesar)
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tbsp chopped Pistachios

Method -

Step 1. Heat the pan on medium heat, add 1 tbsp Ghee.
Step 2. Add Mango Pulp and cook it for 2 minutes until it gets hot.
Step 3. Now add grated Paneer, Condensed Milk, and cook it on slow flame. Keep stirring constantly.
Step 4. Add Saffron and Cardamom Powder and Cook it for 7-10 mins till the mixture thickens and leaves the pan.
Step 5. When you feel your Kalakand mixture is ready, take it out from the heat.
Step 6. Take one square tray & grease it with Ghee. Now pour all the Kalakand mixture into the tray and let it cool down for 2-3 hours.
Step 7. Once the Kalakand is set, cut it into square pieces and garnish them with pistachios.
Your delicious Mango Kalakands are ready to go in your tummy!! :)

Note -
1. If you are using Frozen Paneer, boil it in hot water for 5 minutes. Boiling will make Paneer softer & make the grating process easy. Check out my post on How to Soften Paneer here.
2. I am using Mango Pulp but if you want to can use regular riped Mangoes too, make sure they are sweet in taste.
