Hello my beautiful people 😍
In Diwali we usually prepared snacks like Mathri, Namkeen etc which we can served in tea time. But in few homes like mine, Tea Time is all about having biscuits with Tea. My husband too loves eating biscuits with tea. No matter how many options I give to him, he always end up eating biscuits. 😁
I guess in many homes this is a tradition; biscuits and tea, they are meant for each other! LOL!! 😂 So, I thought my Diwali Series is incomplete without making biscuits.
In today's post, I am gonna make my all time favorite Jeera Biscuits. It's perfect for tea time lovers & also for those who don't drink tea like me. :)
Let's see how to make Jeera Biscuits!
Step 1. In bowl, take butter & powdered sugar. Start beating this mixture until you get creamy smooth texture.
Step 2. Add Flour, Jeera, Salt, Baking Powder & Baking Soda in the same mixture. Start making dough.
Step 3. If you feel that your dough mixture is very dry then add 1 or 2 tbsp Milk. (don't add too much). I didn't add Milk, for me butter was enough.
Step 4. Once you get your dough ready, check by breaking them into 2 parts. If your dough breaks easily then it is a perfect dough.
Step 5. Rest your dough for 10-12 mins. Don't put wet cloth on top for that.
Step 6. Take little dough, sprinkle some dry flour. With the roller, roll out into 6-7 inches diameter disk of medium thickness.
Step 7. Sprinkle some more Jeera on top of it and again roll it out.
Note :- If you feel that you are not able to make this because your dough is having lot of butter, you can also use your hands. Just take small-small balls and press it into your hands/palms. You will get round shaped cookie. In below picture I make them with my hands only.
Step 8. Cut the biscuits according to your desired shape. I am using little container to give it square shapes.
Step 9. In grease pan, baked this cookies/biscuits for 320 Fahrenheit/ 160 degree C in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
Step 10. After 15 mins keep checking Cookies, as every oven is different. In mine, it took 18 mins to completely cooked.
Step 11. Once you feel your cookies/biscuits are ready take them out & cool them completely.
Step 12. When it's completely cool down, store them in Air-tight Container.
Your tasty-yummy Jeera Biscuits are ready. Serve them with Tea or coffee or even with cold beverages.
I hope you & your family will love this Jeera Biscuits. Although markets are full of biscuits. But sometimes making by ourselves is more fun & healthy option too, as we know all the ingredients what we are putting inside. Do try & let me know your feedback. Keep sharing your Recreations with me, I love to see them.
