Misal Pav with my Twist
Ingredients :-
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Rai / Mustard Seed
- 1/4 tsp Hing / Asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Haldi / Turmeric
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 tsp Dry grated Coconut
- 1 tsp fine chopped Green Chilli
- 1 tsp fine chopped Garlic
- 1 chopped Onions
- 2 chopped Tomatoes
- 2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 4 cup Water
- 1 cup Sprouts (Overnight Socked)
- 1 cup Namkeen
- 1/4 cup fry Ground Nuts
- Coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Pav
Method :-
Step 1. Heat the oil in the pan. Add Rai, Hing, Garlic & Green chilli paste. Cook it for one minute.
Step 2. Add chopped Onion & fry it till it turns golden brown in colour. Now add Chopped Tomatoes, Haldi, Red Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Garam Masala & cook for next 5-6 mins till it becomes nice soft tomato-onion gravy.
Step 3. Add 4 cups of water, and let it boil for atleast 7-8 mins.
Step 4. Add Salt, grated Coconut powder & Sprouts, cook for 5 more mins till sprouts gets completely cooked. This recipe is all about tasty watery gravy, so dnt over cook it. We want some water in the gravy.
Step 5. Once its done, Add Namkeen & Lemon juice on it & garnish it with Ground Nuts, chopped Onion & Coriander leaves.
Served Hot with Pav.
Note :- I was not able to find Misal Chivda where I am living, so i used 3 different types of Namkeen. You can use Misal Chivda.
