Mini Corn Kachori

Hello my lovely Mommies 😍
I am not a mommy yet but I have heard from all my mommy friends that kids need something new daily! When it comes to making their food; the challenge is to not only make tasty food but also a good looking food :) I have shared many kids recipes in the past and today also I am sharing one of the recipe which tastes so yummy and looks cute too. We are gonna making Mini Corn Kachori!!
The whole process is same as regular Corn kachori but in their Mini Version. We are making Mini because sometimes a regular kachori is too big and over filling for kids. And Yes our kids love small things as they are small too. 👶


Mini Corn Kachori Recipe

Ingredients :-

For Dough :-
  • 2 cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for Dough
  • Wet Cloth
  • Oil for Frying

For Filling :-

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 2 cup boiled Corn (Grated)
  • 1 tbsp ginger Chilli Paste
  • 1 tsp Fennel Seeds (Sauf)
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Black-Pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped Coriander


Method :-

For Dough :-
Step 1.  Take Flour in to a deep bowl, add pinch of Salt & Ghee & mix well.
Step 2.  Add Water slowly and start to knead the dough. We want harder than regular dough.
Step 3.  Cover it with Wet cloth and leave it for 20 mins.

For Filling :-
Step 1. In Pan add butter and heat it for 30 seconds.
Step 2. Add Fennel Seeds and cook it for 30 seconds.
Step 3. Now add Cumin Seeds and Ginger-Chilli paste and cook it for 45 seconds more.
Step 4. Add grated Corn, Chaat Masala, Black-Pepper and Salt to taste. Cook it for 2-3 mins.
Step 5. Leave pan form Gas and leave the mixture to cool down.
Step 6. Add chopped Coriander in the mixture and mix it well.

Kachori Making Process :-
Step 1. Take small portions of the dough & make a small ball.
Step 2. Flatten each ball in your palm, stuff with one portion of kachori filling mixture (stuffing), cover and seal the edges. Lightly press it again. We want same shape of Kachori but in smaller version.
Step 3. One by One make all the stuffed dough (kachori shape).

For Frying :-
Step 1. Heat Oil in big Pan (around half liter).
Step 2. Once Oil gets hot enough to fry, start adding stuffed dough kachori. Be Careful as Oil will be very Hot.
Step 3. Cook them until you get golden crispy Kachoris.
Step 4. Remove this from Oil and place it on Oil absorbing sheets.( If you don't have the sheets you can use regular tissue paper too)
Your tasty Mini Corn Kachoris are ready. Serve Hot with tomato ketchup or Green chutney.

Note :- Add Chilli and Spices according to your kid's taste. You can make a regular size Kachori too with the same process.
